Jeffrey A. Hinton is a professional educator from Las Vegas, Nevada, with over twenty years of classroom experience specializing in high school US history. His dedication to his craft has earned him several accolades, including the Nevada Teacher of the Year, National Council of the Social Studies Teacher of the Year,  Smith Center Heart of Education award, Public Education Foundation’s Teachers of Excellence award, and the James Madison Graduate Fellowship. As a lifelong learner, Dr. Hinton has earned Master's Degrees in curriculum, instruction, US history, and educational policy and leadership. He also holds a doctor of education degree in curriculum, instruction, and assessment. 

 

Jeffrey has amassed broad knowledge and expertise in innovative teaching practices utilizing project-based learning, 21st-century skills, and entrepreneurial thinking. In 2019, he began Jeffrey A. Hinton Consulting to share his expertise with other educators. Dr. Hinton believes that all students are uniquely special and are capable of deep learning through relevant, hands-on, student-centered approaches with high cognitive demand that foster creativity and a love for learning. 

    

Jeffrey has been married to his wife Andie for over twenty years and he is a proud father to his three daughters, Lydia, Hailey, and Sophia. In addition, Jeffrey enjoys playing guitar, mountain biking, weight training, and hiking in his free time.
